Brixham Pirate Festival 2013

Here we all are gathered at Brixham Pirate Festival 2013.The weather was fabulous and really helped the two day event go well. It was crowded with people and the atmosphere was great.

These guys perform the soldier scenes and pirate skirmishes as well as gun fire and arresting and flogging the drunken pirates in re-enactments.

Here are some of the fancy pirate costumes

Doing the pirate conga for the world record attempt-still don't know if we made it, but will let you know.

This pirate is a street performer and is really fun to watch and listen to. I managed to catch him juggling with fire.

Visiting the The Golden Hind, it's a full size replica of the boat, which held 60 men and took Sir Francis Drake around the globe.

  2. That looks like brilliant fun. Some friends of ours had a national pirate day party last year, sadly we couldn't go but the pics afterwards were fab!

  3. It looks like you had a great time at the pirate festival. It must have been an amazing sight seeing so many dressed up. We should have put our pirate outfits on and joined you!

  4. Thanks for all your comments, we had a great day out. It really is fun to dress up for a change and it creates such a friendly atmosphere. Brixham was absolutely packed with pirates and tourists. It was quite hard to get photos with so many people about. The re-enactments are fabulous to watch, they are very realistic and the actors put in a lot of work. Music was great this year, and so was the weather! We wont know if we have the world record yet as it takes a couple of weeks to be checked and approved.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I read them all. At the moment I'm struggling for time making it difficult to reply individually to each comment, but I'll do my best.
