Christmas Wishes

Not my house, but a house nearby. It's quite spectacular and my photos don't do it justice. The bridge camera does these hand held night shots very well.

Sadly not my house either! This is very pretty.

My tree. I used a star effect setting on the camera and it's also starred the light through the blinds, but nevertheless it's a pretty effect, which I also used on the image above.

This time last year we were in chaos, having only been in our new home for five days. A busy and eventful twelve months, both good and bad are now behind us and I'm glad about that.

We both have two weeks off for the holiday period and I'd really like to complete some wallpapering in the hall. Apart from that a nice trip out somewhere now that the South Devon Highway is open would be lovely, if only it would stop raining!

All I want for Christmas.....is a bit of peace and quiet. What about you?

Wishing you all a wonderful festive season
Until next time

    1. Hi Simon, I use Picasa 3 and it's good enough for what I want right now. There are some great effects built into the camera and this was a fun one.

  4. Peace and quiet for me too, plus a lovely long walk somewhere on Boxing Day weather permiting. We moved into our present house a week before Christmas and it was definitely chaos. Your tree is lovely and the houses amazing. Have a lovely Christmas:)

Love the Christmas lights and tree photo - looking to see if we have a starburst effect on our bridge now :)

    1. I bet you do, there are so many features and a long drop down of effects. It's a bit of fun when you're not trying to take great images.

  7. Peace and quiet - that sounds like an amazing idea. That and the floods and rains to cease, despite it being 'dryish' for a week the floods are still very present.

    1. Hello and thanks for leaving a comment. Lets hope it's peaceful everywhere and for everyone. Still raining and it's so muddy I could hardly stand up in the strong winds this morning.

  9. I have been hanging up our outside lights this afternoon though nothing as dramatic as those shown above!

Anyway I sincerely hope you enjoy a restful and peaceful Christmas this year and whilst it doesn't look like the weather will be particularly seasonal, hopefully we will be blessed with some drier weather at some point over the holidays :-)

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and my best wishes to all :-)

    1. Thank you David, let's hope for at least one dry day, as it's getting very annoying. The dog is a shade of orange now after each walk and the mud is deep and everywhere you try to walk.
Well done on putting up lights, I feel everyone had been very good this year despite the terrible weather...today is not a day to be up a ladder!
      Have a lovely Christmas

    1. Agreed, let's look forward to a better new year. Hubby drove whilst I looked for lights to photograph, else I'm sure I would crash!

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I read them all. At the moment I'm struggling for time making it difficult to reply individually to each comment, but I'll do my best.
