Farewell to Devon

We have finally managed to sort out our lives and jobs and are on the move after ten years living in Devon.

We exchanged contracts last Monday and are moving house just after Easter.

This is one of the lovely walks me and Harry take in the countryside around Newton Abbot.

It's a walk to the picturesque village of Coffinswell.

These fields have been filled with yews and their lambs.

This was a very recent sunny day when me and Harry enjoyed one of our last walks here together.

As usual Percy is taking it all in his stride and prefers a nap to investigating all the boxes and packing material.

Not sure what to do with the blog, but I'll update it soon and then decide what will happen.

Until next time, after the move

  1. So pleased to hear you have found a new home and wishing you all the best with the move. I hope you will be very happy in your new house. Do hope you will continue blogging - would be good to see some of the places you visit in the new area.

    1. Thank you for your kind thoughts. I'm still thinking what to do with the blog, but we are moving to a lovely part of Yorkshire and there will be plenty to photograph. The house is lovely and at last we're buying a house that requires no work, everything is done. It's also near to plenty of dog walks for Harry, making like very easy for me. Busy packing with Griffin helping...of course!

  2. A new area with different nature and countryside. A change is as good as a rest Suzie.

    1. Yes Roy, there will be plenty to report on I'm sure. The new house is in an established area, with protected trees and close to the river (but not so close that we will be flooded). The current owners tell us there are bats and owls around the house and plenty of garden birds. Blue Tits have just taken up residence in the bird box...so plenty to keep me occupied.

    1. Thank you Jess, we are sad to be leaving Devon but happy to be starting a new adventure. Plenty of happy memories in Devon, but my heart belongs in Yorkshire.
